Q: Hello! Please introduce yourself :

A: My name is Alex Oceguera, known as Wundr. My pronouns are he/him. I am 21 years old from Fontana CA.

Q: Where did the name WUNDR come from? Is there any significance behind it?

A: The name “Wundr.” actually came from the word wonder. I used to have another name before “Wundr.” but I wasn’t really sold on it. So I got a dictionary and tried to find words that could describe me well. I came across the word “wonder” and I knew that was the one because I am always curious about life and wondering why things are the way they are.

Q: How would you describe your style of music? Where do you draw inspiration?

A: I would describe my music as a mix between alternative, hip hop and indie folk. Some of my biggest music inspirations are Bon Iver, Jaden Smith, Flume and Frank Ocean.

Q: Do you have a significant accomplishment that you are proud of? If so tell us a bit about it.

A: An accomplishment I am really proud of is actually being apart of my friend Leadr’s song Gaia which is featured on Billboard. We started that song in my room for fun and we ended up really digging the song. Crazy thing is, it took us about a year to finish it but it was well worth the wait due to the fact that it was debuted on Billboard and now has over 40,000 streams on Spotify.

Q: Do you dabble in any other forms of art?

A: I do dabble in other art forms! I love graphic design, photography, drawing and painting. All the designs and graphics for my Wundr. branding is actually made by myself.

Q: Any tips for remaining inspired during quarantine? Is there anything in particular you’ve been involved in to get through these times?

A: I have found it hard to be inspired during quarantine, but the things that help me are going on drives, hikes, walks and having moments to listen to other music. I recently have been involved in some of the protests for George Floyd and for the Black Lives Matter Movement. It is extremely troubling to see that our country still has a lot of racism and prejudices against people of color. I felt it was my duty to stand up against it and to protest for justice no matter what color or person.

Q: Do you have anything new in the works?

A: I do have some new projects in the works! I am planning on releasing a bigger album with more features, but I am going to start with releasing singles for awhile that’ll lead up to it.

Q: How can readers stay up to date on any new projects or releases?

A: People can stay up to date with my music on Instagram! My Instagram is @wundrmusic (https://www.instagram.com/wundrmusic/). For my music, you can go to Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud or any other streaming platform and type in “Wundr.”!! All my other links can be found here: https://linktr.ee/wundrmusic
